Investing in quality education
Established in 1877, Manitoba's university system is
the oldest in Western Canada. In 1967, the system was
expanded beyond the University of Manitoba, adding
the University of Winnipeg and Brandon University.
Similarly, College universitaire de Saint- Boniface, a
French-language university, has continued to expand
since the 1960s while at the same time maintaining its
affiliation with the University of Manitoba.
