first English-language university was founded in the
province in 1789.

They can be found in picturesque towns and safe,
livable cities. They offer a broad range of study options,
including programs from arts, science and business to
public relations, architecture and fine arts.

extends beyond the classroom and into communities
varying in size from a few thousand to 350,000. Nova
Scotia's natural beauty ranges from pastoral farmland
and rugged coastal seascapes to white sand beaches and
towering highlands. Nova Scotia's towns and cities are
among the safest in the world.
The streets are safe and clean, and students can take
advantage of student life, on and off campus.

for the best organizations around the world. They are
creating opportunities across Canada; running science
labs at Harvard University; building bridges in China;
doing post-graduate work at Oxford University; and
attending theatre schools in New York, NY.
This is because everywhere they go, their education
is recognized and respected by other universities and
by prospective employers. With the education students
